The Opportunity
We are looking for an HTML / Email Developer to join our team on a one-year contract basis, with strong potential to transition into a permanent full-time role based on performance and business growth. This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in Canada, with an immediate start date negotiable based on the right candidate's availability.
In this role you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality HTML emails, landing pages, and supporting digital assets for our clients. You will work closely with our customer success and internal teams to translate client requirements into polished, functional email productions — delivered on time and to a high standard.
What You Will Do- Convert client creative designs into responsive HTML emails built for accuracy across platforms and email clients
- Build and maintain landing pages and web forms
- Create supporting marketing assets including banners and social media materials
- Manage and implement changes for split testing in an agile development cycle
- Test email builds rigorously across platforms and clients using Email on Acid
- Edit content, debug code, and refine existing templates as needed
- Liaise with internal and client-facing teams to gather requirements and assets for new and updated email templates
- Provide technical guidance and best practice recommendations to help manage client expectations
Requirements
What You Bring
Required:
- Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3
- Solid experience with responsive design and email production
- Experience using Email on Acid or similar email testing platforms
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop for asset preparation and editing
- Experience working with WordPress
- Strong understanding of cross-browser and cross-client compatibility
- Familiarity with web and email security principles
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and reliable — comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Nice to Have:
- JavaScript
- Adobe Illustrator
- Experience with APIs and SEO
- Knowledge of modern design styles and technologies
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar ESPs
Experience: 3–5 years of experience in HTML email production and responsive design is ideal. Exceptional candidates with a strong foundational skill set and less experience will be considered.
