About Our Client

Our client is a established construction management and GC dedicated to ICI Building projects across southern Ontario. Due to Project pipeline the company is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager for their Toronto office.

Job Description

Construction Project Manager's Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Oversees total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule
• Manage day to day operations of ICI projects.
• Coordination and site supervision resources collaboratively as well as the pre-construction team.
• Negotiate contracts with local subtrades and manage relationships throughout life cycle.
• Responsible for overall project performance and reporting in areas including, but not limited to safety, cost/budget, schedule, quality and project status
• Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Lead by example to ensure policies, procedures and standards are adhered to
• Mentors, coaches, supervises and assesses performance of direct reports and other team members
• Oversees project from pre-construction to closeout.

• 10+ years of project management experience working with established General Contractors in the local market.
• Multiple full cycle ICI new build and renovation projects valued between $1M - $30M
• Ability to work on Lump-sum, Design Build and CM projects.
• Experience managing large contracts involving trades, consultants, construction management firms.
• Post-secondary diploma in a construction related discipline
• Excellent communication, leadership and software skills.
• Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines
• Familiar with project management and estimating software programs
• Knowledge of relevant construction law and building code
