As part of its global expansion, the company is currently recruiting its Global Quality Director. This strategic role is based in Montreal and offers a unique opportunity to shape global quality management.
Job Description
Reporting directly to the Group Chief Operating Officer, the Global Quality Director will play a key role on the executive team. The mission involves leading global quality initiatives and directly contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction within a leading company in its sector.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with R&D, production, and customer service departments to ensure product and process excellence worldwide. This strategic position entails driving the global quality vision and initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a global team of quality professionals, promoting best practices and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement a global quality strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and other relevant industry-specific regulatory standards.
- Establish a Total Quality Management (TQM) culture by promoting continuous improvement and team involvement.
- Oversee and optimize the Quality Management System (QMS) across all global sites (North America, Europe, Asia, Australia).
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Develop advanced quality engineering processes for New Product Introduction (NPI).
- Implement Lean Six Sigma initiatives to enhance performance and reduce non-conformities.

The Successful Applicant- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or related fields. A deep understanding of Total Quality Management (TQM) principles is essential.
- Over 10 years of quality management experience, including at least 5 years in a global leadership role within a manufacturing environment (ideally MTO).
- Proven track record in leading and developing high-performing global teams while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
- Certifications: ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Lean Six Sigma certifications are desirable. Additional TQM certifications are a strong asset.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems and associated processes, with familiarity with relevant industry standards and environmental regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including TQM management, root cause analysis, and data-driven quality management.
- Oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach.
- Passion for promoting continuous improvement and team engagement in quality initiatives.
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a global, multicultural environment.
- High level of integrity and commitment to fostering a quality-focused mindset.
