Position Summary:
Are you a passionate live music fan with your finger on the pulse of pop culture? A social media wiz who lives for the energy of a sold-out show? We’re searching for someone to join our entertainment marketing team who thrives in the noise and excitement of the live concert experience — and knows how to translate that energy into scroll-stopping digital content.
The ideal candidate is fluent in the ever-evolving social media landscape, active across major platforms, and understands what it takes to engage digital audiences. This person is both creative and strategic, with the ability to produce original content and execute on a plan — and has the design skills to bring visuals to life across multiple brands and mediums.While this role focuses primarily on music and live events, there may be opportunities to contribute to sports-related content as well.
This role is a hybrid of social strategy, hands-on content creation, and graphic design support. From covering concerts and editing videos to designing social assets and building signage or marketing materials, you’ll be the digital voice and visual support behind Hamilton Arena, FirstOntario Concert Hall, and The Studio.A flexible schedule is key — you’ll work from home, in the office, and on-site at shows and events in Hamilton. You’ll help build and grow our social media presence while supporting broader design needs across the department.
This is not your typical 9–5 job. A major part of our storytelling happens when the lights go down — so you’ll be expected to attend events as needed, including evenings and weekends.
This role pays an annual salary of $55,000-$70,000 CAD.

Responsibilities:
- Own and manage content across all social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Lead content strategy and execution for Hamilton Arena, FirstOntario Concert Hall, and The Studio
- Cover concerts and events live on-site — capturing and posting real-time content
- Create engaging, on-brand multimedia content including video, photography, copywriting, and social-first graphics
- Design visual assets beyond social media, such as:
- Venue signage and upcoming concert promotions
- In-house promotional materials (flyers, posters, digital screens)
- Sponsorship elements and branded activations
- Email graphics, digital ads, and internal presentation decks
- Maintain a social content calendar and schedule content using Sprout Social (or a similar platform)
- Monitor and report on content performance using platform insights and analytics tools; make recommendations and adjust strategies accordingly
- Collaborate across departments (partnerships, PR, programming) to align messaging and support cross-functional initiatives
- Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging creative formats
- Engage with our community — respond to comments, DMs, fan inquiries, and monitor sentiment
- Ensure consistent voice, tone, and visuals across all brand channels
Qualifications:
- Education & ExperiencePost-secondary degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–2 years of experience in social media, content creation, or marketing (live entertainment/sports/venue/brand experience preferred)
- Strong interest in and knowledge of live music, concerts, and pop culture
- Experienced content creator with a strong portfolio of social-first content (short-form video, photo, copy, graphics)
- Proficient in graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator (basic InDesign or After Effects a plus)
- Comfortable creating light design work beyond social (e.g. signage, posters, branded assets)
- Familiarity with social scheduling and publishing tools like Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, etc.
- Proficient in reading analytics and reporting tools (native platform insights, Sprout Social reports, etc.)
- Strong writer with an engaging voice and attention to tone and grammar
- Excellent organizational skills — able to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and isn’t afraid to take initiative
- Available to work evenings and weekends as needed for event coverage
- Maintains confidentiality and professionalism when privy to sensitive information
