Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre (Arthur Child) is recruiting a CTMS Project Manager to join our growing research team.
Lead project manager for the system implementation of OnCore CTMS. Applies project management, change management, risk management, & quality & process improvement methodology to execute this work. Interprets & understands Good Clinical Practice, CRU Standard Operating Procedures & regulatory requirements applicable to conduct of clinical trials.
Monitors & ensures system & work compliance with regulations, policies & procedures. Identifies opportunities for innovation & quality improvement. Monitors progress towards project milestones. Updates master lists & metric trackers with regular review, tracks system adoption & presents metrics to leadership.
Understands relevant workflow & practice changes. Initiates process changes as required. Acts as central contact & completes tracking of task completion & communicates deficiencies to responsible staff. Develops reports as required. Escalates risks or issues to management.
Provides communication & training for the OnCore CTMS to system users, stakeholders & leadership. Communicates updates & milestones including workflow & process changes. Creates tools, process instructions & manages training sessions. Collaborates with system users, technical support, key stakeholders & organizational leadership.
Manages timely completion of training, orientation & continuing education programs for OnCore. Presents & maintains training materials including annual training & education plan. Responsible for systems management, building & maintaining the CTMS.
Works with internal resources, CTMS stakeholders or the system vendor to ensure system issues are resolved in a timely manner. Participates in data migration/conversion-related activities & study builds. Builds & maintains CTMS training environments & works with CRU staff.
Works with provincial OnCore team to track system upgrades & any impact on current policies & procedures. Baccalaureate Degree in a health-related field required with 3+ years of practical working experience in clinical trials. Familiarity with complex software systems with demonstrated ability of troubleshoot issues, test processes and support and train users.
Direct experience with online database systems including OnCore CTMS. Knowledgeable in the use of information technology; proficient computer skills. Able to use effective presentation skills to teach groups. Experience in Project management and change management, including identifying and implementing process improvements.
Effective professional communicator with strong independent organizational and multi-tasking skills. Attention to detail and excellent tracking skills with demonstrated track record in establishing and maintaining effective collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability in task ownership and solution-oriented work approach. Experience presenting/training in a group or individual setting. Excellent analytical and evidence-based decision-making skills. Extensive knowledge in Excel and computer programs.
The CTMS Project Manager is a professional position working on site at the Arthur Child, responsible for leading, managing and supporting the successful local implementation of OnCore which is the Provincial Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) within the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre (Arthur Child) Clinical Research Unit (CRU) Reporting to the CRU Manager, this position is responsible for the planning, documentation and training for OnCore, as well as system implementation, study builds and maintenance.
