Competition # 155-25-7144003 Posting End Date: May 28, 2025 City: Winnipeg Work Location: MacCharles Department: Pharmacy Union: Non-Union Hiring Status: Permanent Anticipated Start Date: September 02, 2025 FTE: 1.0 Anticipated Shift: Days/Modified Days Daily Hours Worked: 7.50 Annual Base Hours: 1950 Salary: $30.358 /$31.262 /$32.234 /$33.202 Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy Operation and Director of Provincial Oncology Program, the Administrative Officer at CancerCare MB (CCMB) will be responsible for providing high level administrative support and office management to the staff in Systemic Therapy Program, Pharmacy Operations and Provincial Oncology Drug Program (PODP).
The incumbent will provide supervision and distribution of workload to the departmental administrative assistants and will provide confidential administrative support for Pharmacy Operations and PODP leadership, enter payroll, support program statistics and perform other duties as assigned to meet the objectives of the programs.The Administrative Officer will assist the department with staff recruitment, hiring, on-boarding and off-boarding. Other duties and responsibilities include payroll entries, coordination and minute taking of division meetings, preparation and upkeep of administrative standard operating procedures and preparation of financial paper work.
The Administrative Officer will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize a large complex workload to meet deadlines. The incumbent has the ability to coordinate workflow and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions, exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and be willing to assume a variety of assignments, as required.
The candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to work both independently and in a team setting with minimal supervision. Qualifications: Education Successful completion of a recognized Administrative Training Program from an accredited educational institution.
Experience 5 years directly related experience, supporting an intermediate / senior level leader 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple, competing priorities preferably within a healthcare setting.
2 years supervisory/leadership experience Experience on payroll entries for department staff Experience recording and preparing minutes and agendas An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
