Manufacturing Technician - London
Adecco is currently seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our client’s team for a position located in Scarborough, ON. This 6-month contract role offers a competitive hourly wage of $23.00. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting production issues, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Production Operations & Process Optimization:
- Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and engineering specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot process-related issues to minimize defects and improve efficiency.
- Adjust process parameters based on real-time observations and feedback from engineering.
- Provide input to improve production workflows, reduce waste, and optimize cycle times.
Process Monitoring & Data Collection:
- Record production data, including cycle times, yields, and material usage, for process analysis.
- Use measurement tools and data collection software to track key process metrics.
- Report any deviations from standard operating conditions and assist in root cause analysis.
- Assist in implementing process control techniques to maintain product consistency.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
- Conduct in-process quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications.
- Identify and document any non-conformities and escalate issues to the appropriate teams.
- Support continuous quality improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Quality team.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Safety & Workplace Organization:
- Follow all workplace safety protocols, including the use of PPE and safe handling of materials.
- Participate in safety audits and report any potential hazards or incidents.
- Support 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Assist in training new employees on production processes and best practices.
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, workflows, and production techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and process documentation.
- Basic knowledge of process control methods and data analysis.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
