Engineer -- Hardware Design - Toronto

Adecco is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join our client’s team in Kanata, ON. This is a full-time opportunity offering a competitive salary of $70,000 per annum. As a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing product requirements, creating detailed hardware architectures, conducting circuit analysis, performing simulations, and designing electronic circuits using appropriate components and systems.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requirements and create detailed hardware architecture and structured design.
• Conduct circuit analysis from requirements to formal design.
• Perform simulations and experiments to validate design choices.
• Design electronic circuits using suitable components, systems, and equipment.
• Perform schematic capture and circuit board layout using Altium Designer.
• Design auxiliary tools, prototypes, and test interfaces.
• Debug and troubleshoot circuits to ensure functionality.
• Prepare and maintain documentation to support the design throughout its life cycle.

Requirements:

• Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong experience in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit analysis and design.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and circuit board layout using Altium Designer.
• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded system design.
• Knowledge of RF technologies such as Bluetooth, LoRa, Wi-Fi, LTE, GNSS.
• Familiarity with serial communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, USB-C, Ethernet).
• Expertise in A/D and D/A conversion.
• Proficient with standard electronic test equipment.
• Basic mechanical design knowledge to collaborate with industrial/mechanical designers.
• Strong time-management skills to meet project schedules.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
• Self-starter with a keen desire to learn.
