Summary:

The Facilities Support Assistant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our office facilities, supporting a healthy and productive work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of office facilities to identify maintenance or repair needs
  • Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and batteries, fixing leaks, and addressing basic plumbing issues
  • Manage and maintain supplies; monitor inventory and reorder supplies as needed
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance or repair services
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and event spaces as required
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental protocols, including proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, and supply inventories
  • Process and track Facility vendor invoices, following up where required
  • Report facility issues promptly to manager for resolution
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing all office areas, restrooms, kitchens, and common spaces
  • All other duties as required

About You:

  • Completed post-secondary degree from a recognized University or College; relevant certifications or experience in facility maintenance and janitorial services is an asset
  • 1+ years’ experience in janitorial, custodial, or facility maintenance roles preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to follow cleaning and maintenance protocols with strong attention to detail
  • Basic repair skills (plumbing, carpentry) are advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically capable of performing cleaning tasks and light maintenance duties
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with Team Members and vendors
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance standards
  • Proactive and self-directed with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace
  • Able to work well with a variety of people & maintain confidentiality
  • SAP Knowledge is an asset
  • Positive attitude and a results-oriented mindset
