What is the opportunity?
The Finance Department’s Regulatory Reporting Team is seeking an Associate Director to assist in the production and automation of Federal Reserve Bank and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency regulatory reports.
The job’s main responsibility is to manage all regulatory requirements for regulatory reports and to ensure complete, accurate, consistent and timely submission of these reports to FRB & the OCC. The position requires an understanding of regulatory governance & control frameworks, familiarity with financial services products, and a strategic mindset to assist in the automation of existing workflows.The individual will report directly to a U.S. based senior manager and serve as the point of contact for internal functions including Controller, Risk, and Technology. The role includes team management, control execution, and delivery of high-quality output to the U.S. based team for regulatory filings.
What you will do?- Evaluate and drive enhancements to the existing production process and control framework for FRB/OCC regulatory reports
- Lead the end-to-end process for regulatory report preparation, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Partner with various internal stakeholders i.e. Legal Entity Controllers, Finance IT, Risk Control, US Data Office, Legal, and Product Control to drive automation of regulatory reporting workstreams
- Implement and oversee controls to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Identify, escalate and drive the remediation of data quality issues
- Manage the implementation of new business initiatives and represent the Regulatory Reporting team in all project meetings
- Perform research on changes to regulatory reporting requirements and drive implementation efforts
- Participate in internal and external audits of regulatory reporting infrastructure
What you need to succeed?
Must Have- Bachelor’s degree (preferred Accounting or Finance); CPA or advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years' of experience in Regulatory Reporting
- Familiarity with Financial Services product offerings
- Prior experience in shared service centers or global delivery hubs for financial institutions
- Experience in automation of financial processes and execution of data strategy
- Strong regulatory & financial reporting knowledge prevalent in banking/financial institutions
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a complex environment with a high degree of collaboration
- Working knowledge of a USGAAP balance sheet for a financial services company
- Successful track record in process automation and workflow development initiatives
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau or other analytics tool; experience with regulatory software is a plus
