THE OPPORTUNITY:We are currently seeking an energetic multi-tasker to join our team as a full-time Warehouse Associate! As a Warehouse Associate you would play an integral role in our organization by contributing to various functions in our warehouse such as inventory management, purchasing, logistics, transportation, ordering and processing.
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate include:
- Act as the main point of contact for Field Service Technicians and the operations team for daily service requests.
- Working with the Warehouse Team, determine stocking levels, maintaining approved min/max levels, and communicating when requirements require adjustment.
- Lead and support daily warehouse activities on the floor including:
- Reaching out to suppliers for pricing and cutting purchase orders.
- Ensuring that orders are filled and binned in proper locations for technician pick ups.
- Picking & restocking of materials.
- Facility maintenance and upkeep.
- Work directly with customers requesting fire extinguisher servicing and tagging.
- Inspecting and testing fire extinguishers (6yr and hydrotesting as applicable)
- Ensuring service is delivered within a reasonable time frame and communicating when delays are experienced.
- Perform frequent pick audits on outbound orders.
- Maintain purchase order tracking mechanisms.
- Adhere to and embrace the company's Core Values and Occupational Health and Safety protocols.
- Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe workspace. Shelves to be stocked and faced at all times.
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement by following best practices and adherence to standard work documentation.
- Operation of a company provided vehicle. Adherence to all motor vehicle act rules and regulations including local bylaw requirements.
- Additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate would have the following strengths and experience:
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs for extended periods of time in a fast-paced repetitive work environment. Ability to stand on your feet for entire shifts- bending, leaning crouching, and walking.
- Experience working in a warehouse or similar position.
- Experience in the Fire Prevention Industry is an asset.
- Previous experience with parts delivery and operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment is an asset.
- Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
- Resourceful nature: able to proactively problem-solve and navigate various priorities.
- Must have excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license (clean drivers abstract required) and forklift license.
