Toronto - Channel Marketing Assistant

The position requires a bilingual candidate who can communicate fluently in both English and Chinese (written and spoken).

Responsibilities:

• Assist the marketing team in executing short-term marketing plans, programs, and related administration.
• Respond to customer inquiries and complaints (via email and phone).
• Provide support to the sales team for presentations, samples, sell sheets, Point of Purchase (POP) materials, in-store demos, recipe books, and more.
• Offer typing and translation assistance between English and Chinese for both internal and external communications.
• Maintain marketing databases, including catalogs, key codes, legal documents, pictures, customer files, and competitive data.
• Coordinate marketing fulfillment duties such as direct mail, catalogs, and sales literature.
• Help with editing and proof-reading newsletters, advertisements, labels, and catalogs.
• Manage communication with third-party agencies, vendors, and services, including social media agencies, PR firms, and designers.
• Coordinate packaging materials, artwork development, and consumer communication through external designers.
• Source POP materials by contacting vendors across various countries.
• Assist with food shows, cooking demos, community events, and sales meetings.
• Help maintain the company website and work with the Zone Marketing team.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or working towards the degree.
• 1 year of related work experience in the CPG industry is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be able to interact with multi-functional departments, such as Sales, Digital Innovation, Accounting & Finance, and others.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to balance multiple projects with attention to detail and meet deadlines.
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (both written and verbal).
• Ability to stand, sit, kneel, walk, and lift/move up to 50 pounds as required.
• This position is 100% onsite in a typical office setting with moderate noise levels.
