Portfolio Assistant

We are inviting applications for a Portfolio Assistant role based in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves a variety of tasks within the commercial and residential mortgage sector as well as consumer lending. The position is a long-term contract role offering the opportunity to work in a dynamic and evolving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately process customer applications for credit
- Ensure customer credit records are up-to-date and accurate
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues
- Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary
- Verify and process EFTs, transfers and wires via various banks
- Regularly process property taxes
- Provide support for commercial funding through payment and processing tasks
- Maintain physical file records and upload documents to portal libraries
- Build and sustain relationships with internal departments and external entities such as insurance consultants, CMHC, servicer partners and mortgage brokers
- Manage and maintain customer and investor relations
- Stay updated on the company's Mortgage policies and procedures on the Portal and CMHC servicing manual.
