Whats the Opportunity?

ONxpress is looking for a Sr. Project Coordinator to join our Civil construction team. This role would start supporting the pre-construction phase of the project and report into the Assistant Project Manager.

You are someone who:

• Conducts detailed constructability reviews to define engineering design requirements, project schedule, manpower, and procurement needs.
• Plans and implements engineering and construction programs, including project plans, activities, milestones, and manpower requirements.
• Develops and maintains the project schedule and budget for engineering and construction segments.
• Identifies project milestones, adjusts schedules, and coordinates manpower with trades and subcontractors.
• Reviews project design for compliance with engineering principles, standards, customer requirements, and specifications.
• Identifies and mitigates potential project risks, monitors risks continuously, and addresses issues promptly.
• Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and turnover documents.
• Provides status reports, forecasts change orders, manages safety programs, assesses environmental impacts, and writes/reviews purchase specifications and subcontract documents.

You Bring:

• A post secondary education in Civil Engineering or Civil discipline, or Equivalent.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project engineering in the large-scale construction environment.
• Computer literacy (AutoCAD/Microsoft Office tools/ MS Project/ BIM software).
• Experience working on heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills combined with strong Interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
• Technical expertise and understanding of processes and compliance requirements in the construction industry.
• Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
