Salary range: $80,000-$90,000 CAD (based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills).
What you will be doing:
- Providing on-going Quality System training and support aimed to the implementation of the Quality Management procedures and processes by project personnel
- Assist the Quality team to conduct quality reviews related to elements of the Construction and other Quality Management Plans to ensure it remains relevant, effective, and achieves mandated quality objectives and targets
- Preparation of quality regular reports and quality reports summaries for the Quality team and making any necessary recommendations for improvement
- Ensure that an Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) has been developed prior to the start of any construction activity
- Review relevant construction standards, engineering specifications and project documents including the ones mentioned on the ITPs
- Track status of all non-conformances related to audits and record in the NCRs register.
- Participate in Quality audits
- Responsible for their segment Training and On-boarding
- Review monthly reports from construction sites and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support projects as required
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline
- Minimum of 5 year of experience on heavy civil infrastructure construction projects
- Construction industry (concrete, steel, asphalt) knowledge and experience would be considered an asset
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Knowledge of procedure-writing and formatting with flow charts and/or flow lines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Collaborative attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Class 5 driver license is highly preferred
- Availability to potentially work evenings, weekends and longer hours if required
