Senior Project Management Advisor

Context:
Reporting to the Project Management Expertise Manager, the incumbent supports and advises management in project management matters. He/she designs, develops and proposes to management the appropriate strategies for setting up a methodological reference framework for project management in line with international standards.He/she researches, recommends and implements best practices in project management.
Missions/Main Duties:
- Develops and implements project, program and portfolio management methodologies for GMA, and ensures quality control of project management deliverables throughout the project life cycle;
- Makes recommendations, supports and advises project teams to consolidate, standardize and ensure the smooth running of the project management office by developing and optimizing project and portfolio management processes;
- Participates in the redesign of project governance processes for the Asset Management and Modernization (AMM) Executive Division, in collaboration with Project Portfolio Management.
- Evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of project and portfolio management processes, performance indicators and tools, and suggests improvements;
- Designs frameworks and mechanisms for the implementation and application of the Project Management Framework for PPM, including risk management and change management;
- Implements initiatives to promote skills development and knowledge sharing, such as a project management community of practice, a coaching and mentoring program, etc.
Profile/Skills:
Education: A bachelor's degree in administration or an appropriate discipline.
Years of experience: Minimum 8 years' relevant experience (i.e. in developing and supervising project management practices (implementation of methodologies, processes, project management tools)).
Technical competencies:
- Experience in coaching, training or consultancy roles or equivalent experience;
- Very good knowledge of project management concepts and standards, including those of the Project Management Institute (PMI);
- Very good understanding and knowledge of construction projects.
Personal and soft skills:
- Excellent communication skills in French;
- Influential leadership to guide and motivate the team towards success;
- Ability to work as a team to achieve common goals.
