Overview:

A structured Surveillance Assistant Manager role is critical to the success of the River Cree Casino & Resort. The primary responsibility of the Surveillance Assistant Manager is to ensure the function of the Surveillance room, all devices attached to the surveillance system and monitoring of all persons who attend the resort.

In addition, the Surveillance Assistant Manager will be part of the compliance team that reports non-compliance concerns to senior management and board.

Reporting to the Surveillance Manager, the Surveillance Assistant Manager monitors the premises using electronic surveillance equipment and will report suspicious activities to the Surveillance Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and mentor a large team of surveillance operators and supervisors including all aspects of hiring, training and discipline.
  • Audit surveillance system documentation, manage service calls and projects through systems integrator
  • Work closely with the department managers of all other departments
  • Reviews surveillance of the gaming floor to identify potential problems, such as poor game protection, suspicious individuals, and acting as a support unit to other departments in relation to the protection of company assets.
  • Strictly adhere to the compliance of all policies and procedures that affect the resort.
  • Audits logs of all procedure violations or completing reviews of all material that is pertinent to site operations.
  • Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees and AGLC personnel.
  • Provide evidence in legal matters that have resulted from criminal charges against patrons or employees.
  • Always maintain awareness of resort operations and comply with resort policies and procedures in order to secure company assets.
  • Mentor maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Comply with safety procedures including use of required safety equipment and identify unsafe practices or conditions.
  • To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of gaming experience
  • 2-4 years of supervisor or management experience
  • Strong Knowledge of IP Based Surveillance and Genetec Video Platform
  • Strong knowledge of IT Security Controls
  • Knowledge of AGLC, FINTRAC, Health Canada compliance Requirements
  • Must know all Table Games offered at River Cree (Blackjack, Baccarat, Roulette and Craps)
  • Must have strong understanding of Slot Networks
  • Knowledge of cheating/advantage play is required.
  • Must have understanding of hotel operations

  • Possess math skills to calculate the payouts relevant to appropriate table games.
  • The candidate must be able to hold a registered gaming worker license as set out in the AGLCs Terms & Conditions.
  • Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber of customer service and respect to all patrons, employees and AGLC personnel.
  • Possesses detailed knowledge of all resort departments including casino table games such as blackjack, mini-baccarat, roulette and craps, slots, poker, cash/slot cage, and count room.
  • Communication Skills: Must be adept in reading, writing and comprehension of the English language.
  • Manual Dexterity: The Surveillance Assistant Manager must have the dexterity to maneuver electronic surveillance equipment smoothly using a mouse or joystick.
  • Must have the ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time.

The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
