About Our Client

Our client is a General Contractor based out of Vaughan, Ontario. Their projects range in value from $500,000.00 to over $30 million.

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
• Monitor and maintain project schedules, making adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
• Perform quality control inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet the highest standards.
• Manage and coordinate all necessary resources, including labour, equipment, and materials.
• Regularly report project progress to senior management and stakeholders.
• Mentor and train project teams to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Handle any unforeseen issues or challenges that arise during construction and find effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with all local building codes and regulations.

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in institutional construction, with a focus on new build projects.
• Proven experience managing projects in the range of $50 million or larger.
• Strong preference given to candidates with previous experience in school development projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Relevant certifications and licenses (e.g., OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, etc.).
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred.
