Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to prepare and manage direct mail and online fundraising campaigns.
- Administer donor databases, ensure accurate donor information, and prepare fundraising reports.
- Develop and design communication materials (slide decks, infographics, social media posts, flyers, brochures) to support the fundraising lifecycle.
- Cultivate and maintain strong, personalized relationships with donors and potential supporters.
- Assist with managing the organization’s website and social media, updating content, and engaging with followers.
- Contribute to the development of the organization’s annual and long-term fundraising strategies.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on the fundraising portfolio to provide the team and Board of Directors with actionable insights.
- Create and propose compelling content for social media posts, letters, articles, and videos, showcasing the organization’s impact.
- Represent the organization at public speaking opportunities to raise awareness and promote fundraising efforts.
- Work closely with communications staff to align all communications with organizational goals.
- Analyze communication processes and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- A self-motivated individual with the ability to produce high-quality work with minimal oversight.
- 2+ years of related experience in the non-profit sector in Canada.
- Proven expertise in fundraising and donor administration, including relationship-building and database management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and management.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with social media, website management, and databases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience in proofreading, editing, and formatting documents.
- A passion for social impact and a commitment to building long-term relationships with donors.
