Adecco is actively seeking a Fundraiser & Communications Specialist to join our client’s team. In this full-time, permanent position, you will play a key role in driving fundraising initiatives and managing communications to support a charitable organization that provides vital social services to the community.

This hybrid role offers flexibility with 3-4 days of on-site work per week, and comes with an attractive salary, benefits, and free parking.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to prepare and manage direct mail and online fundraising campaigns.
  • Administer donor databases, ensure accurate donor information, and prepare fundraising reports.
  • Develop and design communication materials (slide decks, infographics, social media posts, flyers, brochures) to support the fundraising lifecycle.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, personalized relationships with donors and potential supporters.
  • Assist with managing the organization’s website and social media, updating content, and engaging with followers.
  • Contribute to the development of the organization’s annual and long-term fundraising strategies.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on the fundraising portfolio to provide the team and Board of Directors with actionable insights.
  • Create and propose compelling content for social media posts, letters, articles, and videos, showcasing the organization’s impact.
  • Represent the organization at public speaking opportunities to raise awareness and promote fundraising efforts.
  • Work closely with communications staff to align all communications with organizational goals.
  • Analyze communication processes and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • A self-motivated individual with the ability to produce high-quality work with minimal oversight.
  • 2+ years of related experience in the non-profit sector in Canada.
  • Proven expertise in fundraising and donor administration, including relationship-building and database management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in record-keeping and management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with social media, website management, and databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with experience in proofreading, editing, and formatting documents.
  • A passion for social impact and a commitment to building long-term relationships with donors.
