Account Manager: BC Healthcare , Canada Public Sector
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a results-driven Account Manager to join our Canada Public Sector Healthcare team, focused on driving cloud adoption and revenue growth across healthcare organizations in British Columbia. In this role, you will work across a portfolio of healthcare accounts — including provincial health authorities, providers, health technology companies, and healthcare payors — helping them leverage AWS to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and innovation.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for your assigned customers, building deep relationships with C-suite executives, IT leaders, clinical informatics teams, and procurement stakeholders to identify and close opportunities aligned with their digital health priorities.
Key job responsibilities
Account Ownership: Drive the full sales cycle for a portfolio of healthcare customers in British Columbia, including health authorities, providers, health-tech startups, and provincial health agencies.
Revenue Growth: Develop and execute account plans to meet or exceed annual revenue targets, including new workload migrations, net-new customer acquisition, and expansion of existing cloud footprint.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain executive-level relationships (CIO, CMIO, CDO, VP Infrastructure) within assigned accounts. Serve as a trusted advisor on cloud strategy and digital transformation.
Solution Selling: Partner with AWS Solutions Architects, Partner Solutions Architects, and Specialist teams to position AWS services (compute, storage, analytics, AI/ML, security) to solve healthcare-specific challenges such as EHR modernization, clinical analytics, population health, and health data interoperability.
Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust qualified pipeline through proactive prospecting, event engagement, partner-sourced leads, and executive briefings.
Partner Ecosystem: Collaborate with AWS Partner Network — including ISVs, GSIs, and regional consulting partners — to deliver joint solutions and accelerate customer outcomes.
Deal Strategy: Lead deal qualification, commercial negotiations, Private Pricing Agreements.Industry Expertise: Stay current on BC healthcare landscape, provincial digital health strategies, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
About the team
The Canada Healthcare team is part of the AWS Canada Public Sector team and is also closely aligned with the global AWS healthcare community. We work backwards from our customer needs to ensure they are successfully able to meet their mission objectives.- 5+ years of technical sales in B2B environments, in a solution-sales / technology-related environment experience
- Experience planning, managing and closing competitive sales efforts and managing deals from negotiation, to closing and through delivery
- 4+ years of exceeding quota and key performance metrics experience
- 3+ years selling to healthcare, life sciences, or public sector organizations- AWS certification
- Experience selling cloud or infrastructure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) to healthcare organizations
- Familiarity with Canadian healthcare ecosystem — provincial health authorities
- Understanding of healthcare IT systems and data standards
- Knowledge of Canadian data residency and privacy regulations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments, restricted stock units (RSUs), and sales incentives (where applicable).
