Assistant Project Manager - Medical Equipment Planning

Your role
Join our team as Assistant Project Manager with the Furniture,Equipment Planning and Move Readiness Business Group.
Our Assistant Project Managers get the opportunity work with the best in the industry and to develop their skills on a diverse range of projects that vary in scope and complexity. In this role, you will be able to demonstrate your experience by supporting projects in a variety of sectors such as healthcare, post-secondary, and government.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside experienced project managers to learn the keys to client relationship building and successful project delivery.
- Supporting the project team, provide guidance to clients looking to optimize their future clinical spaces.
- Perform schedule updates, maintaining project controls, developing progress reports, and preparing tender and contract documents.
- Attend various project meetings, capturing accurate action items and key decisions in meeting minutes.
- Facilitate communication channels between the Project Manager, healthcare providers, patient representatives, project stakeholders and our vendor partners.
- Ensure that project activities are conducted in accordance with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System and Business Unit standards.
- Management of medical equipment lists for clients at all stages of the capital redevelopment process.
- Maintain a current knowledge of existing and future technologies as they relate to the delivery of care in Canadian healthcare settings.
Qualifications:
- A university degree or diploma in nursing, biomedical technology, engineering, architecture or project management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
- 1 to 3 years of expereince in a healthcare setting or previous project delivery experience is considered an asset
- Self-motivation, initiative, and an eagerness to learn and contribute to meeting project deliverables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- A results-oriented approach with the ability to take action and responsibility.
- Exceptional detail orientation, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks to meet both deadlines and client expectations.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft office programs.
- Demonstrates a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving while working towards successful project delivery.
- Strong critical thinking skills and apply a triage mentality to set priorities accordingly.
- CAPM designation, PMP and LEED accreditation is considered an asset
