Responsibilities:

The Facility Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and coordination of daily operations of general maintenance mechanics and trades people on assigned shift, relative to corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance projects.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and perform the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment, under the direction of the Facility Manager and in coordination with other Supervisor(s)
  • Supervise, assign jobs, and ensure timely completion of projects
  • Perform required preventative maintenance and servicing to include boilers and related heating equipment, carpentry, electrical, structural and plumbing
  • Assemble and move furniture, games and equipment as required for layout changes and any events
  • Help build, repair and fabricate cabinetry, offices and storage areas
  • Perform routine field inspections in all areas of the facility
  • Prepare technical reports and maintain logbooks as required
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of applicable fire, health, safety and environmental standards, and ensure compliance with Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and other applicable codes, laws, policies and regulations
  • React in a timely manner to emergency situations
  • Coordinate maintenance and modification projects with appropriate departments to ensure minimal guest interruption
  • Must adhere to Hard Rock’s Policies and Procedures
  • Instruct and train others as appropriate
  • Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within areas of responsibility
  • Promote positive employer/public relations at all times
  • Perform all other related tasks as required in accordance to the business need, as assigned by Manager

Qualifications:

  • A combination of education and experience in trades
  • Must have experience in commercial and hospitality/gaming industries
  • Proven track record of performing maintenance in a fast paced environment to drive the business toward success
  • Thorough understanding and ability to troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems and components, as well as kitchen equipment
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, communication and managerial skills.
  • Able to motivate, train and guide others to meet performance objectives
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages
  • Ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the role, such as: standing, walking, kneeling, bending, lifting and moving up to 50lbs or more, working in high and low places and requiring peripheral and depth perception
  • Able to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed including overnights, weekends, and holidays
