Reporting to the Technical Operations Supervisor and Project Manager the Lead Installer is responsible for operations related to projects realization and managing an installation team.
Your day will look like this:
- Lead Installation Technician at Solotech
- Part of dedicated team: project coordinator, sales team, system designers, CAD drafters
- Travel to multiple locations within 50-70 km radius from office (95% of the time)
- Carry out AV installations throughout the day
- Expertise and knowledge in AV crucial for project success
- Maximum workday of 8-9 hours, including travel time (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm)
- Streamlined projects for quick turnaround times
- Problem-solving skills for ad hoc solutions
- Install and configure audiovisual equipment
- Solotech provides comprehensive training (theory and hands-on)
- Responsible for equipment delivery using supplied vehicle
- Maintain daily communication with project coordinator
- Proficient in using tools
- Collaboration with another technician when required
- Capability to lead a small team of technicians
- Attend governance meetings
- Dedicated work vehicle provided (Valid Canadian License required)
Your profile:
- Academic background: DEC/College education in the audiovisual or electronics field
- Experience: 5 years of experience on construction sites or in audiovisual equipment installation
- Demonstrate proactive behavior and initiative during technical installations
- Proficient in both French and English – oral and written
- Demonstrate flexibility regarding the work schedule and be available to travel outside the home office’s city
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Demonstrate autonomy and a sense of responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change
- Ability to manage priorities and adhere to tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate information in a clear, logical, and respectful manner
- Ability to anticipate problematic situations and find effective solutions all while respecting the company’s policies and operational processes
- Hold certifications for manufacturers’ AV products (an asset)
- Highly proficient in the MS Office suite
