Retail Field Merchandising Representative - PART TIME

This job offers a flexible schedule, Monday to Friday. 3 x 8-hour days per week and is a part-time salaried position.

As a PART-TIME Retail Field Merchandiser Representative with Elbows Out Inc, you will be responsible for driving to specific retailers (grocery, mass, pharmacy, discount, specialty, gas, and convenience) on a designated weekly route.

Once at these retailers, you will complete the specific merchandising and sales tasks for the various CPG and natural product brands that we represent, to improve their in-store presence and sales performance.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management. You will build and foster professional business relationships with key stakeholders at all retailers on your route, as well as all CPG clients should there be client interaction scenarios, as well as brokers and distributors.
  • Route Management: Manage Merchandising on a specific route visiting retail stores, (Grocery, Pharmacy, Mass, Gas, Convenience, Specialty, Discount) ensuring consistent, professional, and impactful product presence on-shelf, on displays, secondary placement etc.
  • Merchandising Excellence: Guarantee that Elbows Out managed shelves look their best, with approved POS materials in place and displays installed and placed as per agreements between clients and retailers.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather and relay feedback from the market regarding our client’s brand, monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and policy changes at the customer level.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure accurate pricing and tagging of all product listings, maintenance of approved racking, and strict adherence to merchandising agreements and planogram executions.
  • Sales Growth: Close distribution gaps, capitalize on promotional activities, handle automatic ordering based on robust sales data, and continually innovate on-shelf strategies.
Requirements
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Prior experience in CPG retail merchandising is an asset
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Technological proficiency, especially with smartphones, apps
  • Analytical skills with a strong understanding of sales data.
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Own working vehicle.
  • Valid car insurance for business use / travel
  • Ability and desire to drive daily, within the designated route.
  • Ability to lift cases of food / beverage product, repeatedly, while moving inventory from back of the store and re-stocking shelves. Cases could weigh up to 11.5kg or 25lb
