Summary
As the Talent & Development Business Partner, your main responsibility is to assist our production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You provide support and coordination in the consistent and practical application of policies, procedures, and practices of Human Resources for all team members to ensure a Healthy and Engaged Manufacturing environment.Responsibilities include a hands-on approach to Team Member Relations, Health and Safety, Recruitment, Training, Time and Attendance, and other tasks as required. Previous experience in a human resources manufacturing environment is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Facilitate collaboration and foster a harmonious work environment among various departments within your Manufacturing site, acting as a liaison between Operations, Team Members (both agency and full-time), and Talent and development.
- Manage, oversee, and communicate with Agency Partners to ensure compliance with FGF policies, protocols, and the introduction of new initiatives and business updates.
- Collaborate with the Health & Safety team, actively participating in Health & Safety training and committee meetings to promote a culture of safety.
- Review resumes and coordinate interviews with Agencies and Operation Leaders, ensuring that candidates for Key Roles possess the necessary skills, availability, and attitude. Lead all recruitment activities for the site.
- Work closely with Plant Operations Leaders to assess current and future staffing requirements.
- Collect ongoing agency feedback, summarizing challenges to create action plans for continuous improvement in operations and agency relations.
- Monitor and analyze data to identify trends for the site, enabling informed decision-making and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advise manufacturing leaders on team member relations issues, i.e., performance management/reviews, attendance management, respectful workplace, code of conduct, etc.
- Support progressive discipline at the site, including investigating incidents, documenting findings, making recommendations, and coaching or disciplining in collaboration with manufacturing leaders.
- Manages and delivers required site training/programs in collaboration with L&D and supporting teams (e.g., Team Leader immersion, LEMs, TM Engagement survey, Let’s connect sessions, info booths, action plans).
- In conjunction with all key stakeholders, problem-solve and troubleshoot any issues or challenges.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate recordkeeping of Team Members within the HRIS system and Time and Attendance System, including errors and issues.
- Proficient in HR systems (TMC, Navex, ICIMS, TMTM, etc.), ensuring the team is trained.
- Oversee and facilitate site-specific audit activities, providing leadership and communication throughout the process.
- Create and maintain records for new Team Members within the HRIS systems.
- In conjunction with the site or hiring Leaders, participates in performance reviews and progressive disciplinary evaluations related to team members.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and leadership to the Talent and Development Site Coordinator and Advisor, supporting their personal and professional growth.
- Drive leadership development initiatives for the site, ensuring the effective utilization/attendance of programs such as UYP and others as required.
- Generate daily reports for various tasks, including hours tracking, post-hire activities, and performance reviews.
- Oversee and actively engage in the Internal Job Posting process (IJPP) to guarantee compliance and consistency ensuring that the process remains fair and timely for all team members.
- Act as a HR business partner to all Team Members within the site and assist in developing and providing solutions resulting in improved business results.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 4 years related experience in a similar role.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
- Proficient understanding/working knowledge of HR policies/procedures, benefits, and employee relations.
- Proven competency in the operation of key office software and productivity tools such as: MS Office suite of tools, working knowledge of an HRIS
- Experience with Health & Safety initiatives (previous experience as a H&S committee member required)
- Manufacturing experience required
- Health & Safety certification is highly desired.
