Job Description
The business analyst (BA)’s responsibilities will include understanding the counterparty credit exposure measurement for various products, mapping source data to internal monitoring reporting, e.g. Counterparty concentration Report; external regulatory reporting i.e. Large Exposure Frame (LEF) and Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL); and supporting production related items.
Primarily, the BA will create mapping logic for counterparty credit exposure reporting or create requirement document and liaise with IT developers to communicate those requirements; and plan/coordinate all user testing, coordinate implementation/migration as necessary and communicate (written and verbally) to project leadership team and or senior management on project status throughout the project lifecycle.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have- Undergraduate degree or higher, preferable in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Finance.
- Experience in systems implementation, process improvements or systems re-engineering projects with a banking organization or consulting company.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and ability for data analysis
- Good problem solving skills in order to perform independent root cause analysis of data issues
- Ability to take initiative, result oriented and work independently with multiple priorities.
- Work with tools and platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, SQL and be willing to learn adhoc
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations
- Data Science, Data Analytics or Data Reporting experience
- Experience with Big Data or Database technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Pyspark)
