Internal Communications Lead
We seek a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Internal Communications Lead to join our team in Montreal to drive communication activities across our global organization!
In this role, you will become part of a team that connects Valsoft’s global workforce with our company’s strategic vision and priorities by developing and executing impactful internal communications programs that build awareness, understanding, and engagement throughout the organization.You will be responsible for crafting and implementing strategic communications programs that engage and inspire our team. Additionally, you will support Valsoft’s leadership team by creating compelling content that enhances our internal culture and values.
Furthermore, you will design and execute a corporate and external communications strategy that resonates with a wide range of audiences. You will collaborate closely with our team to shape our company messaging and implement tactics that raise brand awareness among target audiences.
This role will focus on developing and delivering internal communications tactics that support organizational objectives. To excel in this role, you must be a dynamic professional with a strong internal communications, marketing, and strategy background.
Bilingual proficiency in English and French is essential for success in this role!

What your day will look like:
Employee Engagement and Culture- Develop internal newsletters (weekly/monthly) highlighting company news, acquisitions, leadership updates, and success stories
- Organize quarterly business review meetings with executives, including preparing presentations
- Develop onboarding materials (handbooks, welcome videos, FAQs) to ensure smooth transitions for new hires and acquired company employees
- Create communication plans for new acquisitions, ensuring a seamless transition for acquired employees (FAQs, leadership messages, integration roadmaps)
- Draft and refine executive speeches and key messages for internal events
- Support leadership in crafting talking points and internal memos for key business updates, organizational changes, or new strategic initiatives
- Build an internal knowledge hub with updates on company strategy, training materials, and access to key documents
- Organize and document leadership and strategic offsites, ensuring key takeaways are shared with employees
- Implement an internal feedback loop to gauge employee sentiment
- Promote and communicate internal training programs
- Create and distribute case studies of successful acquisitions and integrations
- Maintain a centralized org chart and regularly update employees on role changes and promotions
- Coordinate internal branding initiatives to reinforce Valsoft’s mission and values
- Support internal corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and encourage employee participation in philanthropic efforts
- Manage LinkedIn content calendar, ensuring regular, high-quality posting that aligns with Valsoft’s strategic goals
- Work closely with HR to highlight job openings and share recruitment-related content
- Track social media performance metrics (reach, engagement, impressions) and adjust strategies based on data insights
- Collaborate with the M&A team to ensure social posts align with key acquisitions and industry updates
- Develop short-form video content (employee interviews, CEO messages, leadership insights) to increase external platform engagement
- Coordinate with design teams to create visually appealing marketing assets (banners, infographics, company updates)
- Draft articles (long-form content) based on leadership insights on M&A trends, company culture, and investment philosophy
About You:
- At least a bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing or a similar related field is essential
- A minimum of 3+ years in internal communications and marketing, preferably in the Investment, Technology or Financial Services sector
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French, both written and verbal, is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and French
- Strong understanding of financial services, investment management, fintech, and the regulatory environment
- Proven experience in internal communications is essential
- Exceptional writing and content creation skills with the ability to craft engaging narratives
- Natural storyteller with an understanding of how to captivate a reader
- Experienced in integrated campaign work, able to see how content aligns with the target audience while staying true to the company voice and key themes
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams
- A deep appreciation for and understanding of company culture and the ability to translate that into effective communication
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with a strong focus on execution and results
- Familiarity with investment technology concepts and ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content
- Experience in crafting and delivering impactful internal communication strategies
- Strategic thinking with a creative mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
