Summary:

As the Warehouse Manager at Maple Supply Chain Management Inc., you will spearhead all aspects of our Distribution Center's operations in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this critical role demands a high sense of urgency and responsibility for managing and optimizing complex warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring that every process adheres to our high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Guide and support warehouse operations, emphasizing safety, service, and financial goals Lead the supervisory team and warehouse staff in achieving these goals, ensuring alignment across all operations.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and manage efficient operational schedules to optimize productivity. Maintain and monitor key performance indicators to ensure that all processes align with company standards and exceed customer expectations.
  • Customer Service: Provide prompt and professional responses to customer inquiries, requests, and complaints. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service quality.
  • Financial Oversight: Strategically manage the warehouse's financial operations focusing on budgeting and cost savings. Monitor daily operational expenditures, identify budget variances, and implement cost-reduction strategies. Prepare detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that highlight performance against financial goals. Lead efforts to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize resource allocation to achieve financial targets.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety policies, conduct regular inspections and training, and maintain high standards of workplace safety and sanitation.
  • Employee Management: Direct the comprehensive management, training, and development of warehouse staff. Foster a culture of excellence by developing and motivating the team to achieve peak productivity and performance. This role involves not only guiding the team through daily operations but also championing their growth and advancement within the organization.
  • Performance Management: Manage and evaluate the performance of the department, monitoring daily KPIs and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently. Act as the primary liaison between Maple Supply Chain and our customers, ensuring smooth operations and excellent service.
  • Facility Management: Supervise the maintenance of the facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with all safety and warehousing standards. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: University degree or college diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience: 3-5 years of progressive experience in supply chain, warehouse, and logistics management, ideally within a high-velocity distribution environment. Candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of operational success and effective team leadership.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead with a strong capability for building and maintaining relationships. Experience in motivating and guiding teams to meet high performance standards.
  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite and experienced with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations, procedures, and legal guidelines pertinent to the logistics and supply chain field.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with a strong work ethic, capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
