What is the opportunity?
You will be part of the Loan Closing team working closing with both the US and European Desks ensuring all trades are settled in a timely manner. You will work closely with the Desk, Portfolio Managers and Internal Legal to prepare and sign documentation in order to facilitate the closing of a loan trade.
What will you do?- Review and sign loan trade documentation (predominantly Distressed Trades), ensuring that loan trades are closed in a timely manner on both LMA and LSTA trade rules for Par / Distressed / Primary and Secondary trades
- Maintaining good working relationships with prime brokers, custodians, agent banks and external vendors and Engaging with External legal counsel where necessary
- Review and Execute Pricing Letters
- Maintaining market data base access and monitoring Corporate Actions for any events on loan positions held. Liaise with the Analysts and action consent process accordingly including any restructures of a deal
- Ensuring loan trades are accurately captured in Wall Street Office, reconciling any errors and liaising with the desk where necessary
- Obtaining Tax and KYC documents for induvial funds where necessary
- Maintaining good working relationships with prime brokers, custodians, agent banks, brokers and external vendors
- Cashflow management of all CLOs in warehouse and drawing cash when needed
- Actively resolving any position issues raised by the desk or Finance and investigating as necessary to identify the root cause
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have- Distressed Loan Closing experience essential
- Understand LMA and LSTA trade rules across both Par and Distressed markets
- Knowledge of NDA process and Public/Private restrictions
- Takes the initiative to resolve problems quickly and effectively
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise accordingly
- Communicates constructively, engages others positively and readily shares information and ideas.
- Risk focused mindset
- Knowledge of the Wall Street Office and Clearpar systems
- Understanding trade flow connectivity for STP and have the ability to engage internal teams to work on new initiatives, test and implement.
- Ability to Identify new control points and demonstrate awareness of potential operational risk.
- Understanding of the lifecycle of a CLO and the processes during each phase of the lifecycle.
- Cashflow management of all CLOs in warehouse and drawing cash when needed
