Responsibilities:
- Clearly communicate customer requirements and craft experience solutions that delight our customers while also meeting business objectives & deadlines.
- Participate in user research activities to gather requirements; this includes interviews, ethnographic observation, workflow analyses, and contextual inquiry.
- Communicate customer requirements through storytelling, interactive prototypes, and detailed visual/functional design specifications.
- Craft alternative design proposals to validate with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Work with Development & Product Management partners to negotiate project scope and ensure customer experience is one of the three core considerations in product planning (Viability, Desirability, Feasibility).
- Deliver design documentation for use by a wide range of audiences including Software Development, Test Development, Technical Publications, Sales, and Marketing.
- Review feature implementation, test plans, and documentation to ensure accuracy of desired application results.
- Lead efforts to work collaboratively across teams and orgs to ensure cohesive workflows.
- Maintain familiarity with other company products and competitive products to ensure compatibility with proposed feature sets.
- Lead presentations and discussions with customers, developers, and internal stakeholders to drive resolution on proposed features and functionality.
- Look beyond immediate experience challenges to understand how solutions fit into a larger ecosystem, across channels, touchpoints, and platforms.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a UI/UX designer or similar role.
- Mastery of Figma is required; proficiency in other design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of the principles of UX and visual design, as well as standard design tools.
- Demonstrated experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
- Extensive experience in utilizing user-centered design process, as well as conducting user research, A/B testing, usability testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, and accessibility concerns.
- Experience in developing and maintaining design systems.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently, with a keen eye for detail.
- A clear and effective communication style, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- An impressive portfolio showcasing your UI/UX design work across multiple platforms.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in design, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
Pay Range: CAD $135,000.00 - CAD $175,000.00 /Yr.
