Adecco is currently seeking a Buyer to join our client’s dynamic team in Scarborough, ON. This is a Temporary position with the possibility of becoming permanent with an hourly rate of $30–$32 CAD. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, supporting purchasing and procurement operations across multiple projects.
- Pay rate: $30-$32/hour.
- Location: Scarborough, ON
- Shifts: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm

Responsibilities:
- Manage competitive quote processes for both large and small-scale projects, ensuring thorough analysis before awarding business.
- Collaborate closely with production teams to understand schedules, seasonal demand, and align vendor capacity accordingly.
- Work with the purchasing team to grow and qualify a robust vendor base, while monitoring raw material stock levels to maintain production continuity.
- Conduct vendor capacity analyses and implement level load plans
- Negotiate pricing and service agreements to build strategic vendor partnerships
- Monitor supplier performance with benchmarking and delivery reports
- Expedite materials and find creative solutions to meet production deadlines
- Maintain accurate databases for inventory, vendors, and purchase orders
- Participate in supplier qualification processes and drive procurement improvements
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Finance, A/P, and more
- Resolve invoicing discrepancies in partnership with internal teams
- Take part in special projects and support continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; direct industry experience preferred
- Experience with multi-commodity purchasing and knowledge of commodity indices
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Familiar with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
- Membership in APICS or SCMA is a plus
