Adecco is currently hiring a full-time detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Property Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Scarborough, ON. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations related to commercial property assets.
This includes preparing financial statements, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting property management teams with financial insights.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Assistant Controller with the weekly monthly processing of Accounts Receivable billing and reporting on delinquent accounts to the Property Manager as well as Accounts Payable processing
- Monthly tenant rent billing as well as maintaining accurate tenant billing schedules
- Maintain the accuracy of tenant records to ensure correct rental billings each month
- Maintain accounting/invoicing procedures, including processing supplier invoices, preparing monthly tenant service invoices and annual TMI invoices/credits
- Assist with the preparation and tracking of annual budget (TMI forecast versus actual) and obtaining any necessary supporting documents and reports
- Provide administrative support to the office/ department with tasks such as distributing mail, memos, letters, faxes and forms, attending to email inquiries and distributing to the right parties
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager.
- Maintain and update tenant lists/files and other files (TMI binders) as necessary.
- Prepare correspondence as necessary i.e. formulate and distribute tenant letters.
- Any other tasks as necessary
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in accounting skills and knowledge, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Relevant experience in a commercial property management accounting role (at least 2 years)
- Proficient in Word & Excel, proven organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Detail oriented with a proven ability to simultaneously address competing priorities.
- Ability to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning, ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
