Bilingual (French/English) Public Relations Specialist

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time strategic and creative Bilingual (French/English) Public Relations Specialist to lead initiatives that enhance brand visibility and reputation in Markham, ON. This role involves developing and executing PR campaigns, managing media relations, and supporting cross-functional communication efforts.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement PR strategies and campaigns.
- Write and edit press releases, speeches, newsletters, and promotional content.
- Align PR efforts with marketing and branding initiatives.
- Monitor media coverage and industry trends.
- Coordinate events, sponsorships, and media engagements.
- Serve as a spokesperson and manage media relationships.
- Oversee PR agency activities and evaluate performance.
- Track PR metrics and prepare media activity reports.
- Manage PR budgets and ensure ROI.
- Support crisis communication planning and executive communications.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and French with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in PR, communications, or media relations.
- Skilled in writing, editing, and content creation across digital and print platforms.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media tools; familiarity with project management and basic photo/video editing is a plus.
- Strong understanding of PR and marketing strategies with proven campaign execution.
- Able to manage multiple projects under pressure with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with media, influencers, and partners.
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and crisis communication awareness.
- Up to date with media trends and communication technologies.
- Collaborative team player with experience working cross-functionally.
- Professional appearance and demeanor for vendor and partner interactions.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Flexible with work hours, including occasional overtime.
- Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel.
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
