We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior pricing analyst to join and support the Fresh Pricing team. You will manage pricing and develop innovative projects that will transform Loblaw’s pricing.

Senior Analyst, Pricing - Loblaw Head Office

The Senior Analyst, Pricing, reporting to the Senior Pricing Manager, COS, will be responsible for executing pricing, data cleansing, and supporting ad hoc requests on an ongoing basis. The role also provides data-driven analysis and recommendations to support important category initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute retail pricing changes and other pricing maintenance duties across relevant Sales Banners and pricing zones in the SAP/SPO environment.
  • Understand and familiarize with competitor data and data cleansing activities
  • Work closely with the pricing analytics team to understand, measure, and refine competitive pricing responses in the market.
  • Understand the pricing backend, data structure and technical processes and advise on the impact on pricing
  • Actioning weekly tasks such as data maintenance of Line Price Families, Bonus Buys, and Private label Gap etc. reports.
  • Strong focus on SPO (Shelf Price Optimization Tool) adoption, building solid partnerships with Central Analytics/SPO Project Team to drive value

What you Bring:

  • Hands-on experience in retail, pricing, understanding of retail pricing structure such as costing, and various other components behind it.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills; committed to meeting deadlines and targets.
  • Proven experience and comfort with data analytics and the ability to derive actionable insights.
  • Possess a curious mindset that drives new ways of doing, a willingness to ask clarifying questions in unclear situations, and the ability to take the initiative as a strong self-starter.
  • Experience with analytical tools like Python, SAS, Teradata, Power-BI and Micro Strategy would be beneficial.
