The Opportunity
Join an innovative team as a Lead Data Analyst in the Cloud Control Engineering team at RBC. In this role, you will be an integral part of managing and building our program KRIs. We are looking for a passionate and creative Data Analyst who is excited about problem-solving and working with the latest technologies.
As a member of our team, you will collaborate closely with Risk, SREs, Platform Engineers, Architects, and Security Professionals. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining and enhancing our program's compliance across an agile framework.Additionally, you will participate in a support on-call rotation, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to our 24/7 operational needs.
What will you do?- Analyze structured and unstructured data using statistical techniques and create dashboards & reports in visualization tools
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data streams
- Manage and support the development and implementation of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) & Metric processes for the cloud program
- Collaborate with technical teams to keep key metrics and KRIs in green
- Guide technical teams, provide education and thought leadership
- Utilize the latest technologies available, design, and build data solutions to meet business needs
- Take ownership and have ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to drive work to completion under restrictive timelines. Has creativity, energy, and passion for leveraging technology to transform our industry; the belief that automation is the only way and the ability to talk for hours as to why.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have- A relevant degree or certificate in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or a comparable field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience using tools like Splunk, ELK, Tableau to visualize and report data.
- Experience in coding with a variety of languages like Python, Scala, or Java.
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL data stores.
- Experience with scheduling tools, such as Air Flow.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with control frameworks (e.g., CSA, NIST, Custom) and/or Regulatory Audits.
- Experience working in a large enterprise organization and/or Financial Sector Institution.
- An understanding of cloud and experience working with cloud technologies
