The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Claims, the Senior Associate Claims Specialist is responsible for managing the deductible recoveries within the department, handling of program claim business including claim files and bordereau processing and other administrative duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and distribute deductible recovery statements and invoices
- Manage deductible recovery process with insureds and brokers to ensure timely and accurate collection
- Assist with the handling of program claim business to include reviewing reports from all external sources, establishing adequate reserves for both indemnity and expense as well as payment processing within prescribed authority
- Manage other administrative duties within the department, including but not limited to expense and bordereau payment processing, report preparation, answering incoming telephone inquiries and other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or equivalent training preferred
- One or more years of related industry experience
- Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills (both oral and written).
- Excellent computer skills required, specifically in Microsoft Office
- Functional in French would be an asset.
