IT Technician
We are hiring at Valsoft for an experienced and skilled IT Technician to join our growing team in Montreal!
The successful IT Technician will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day IT operations, providing technical support to employees, and ensuring the smooth functioning of IT systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to take initiative.

The successful candidate will be based within commutable distance of our office in Saint-Laurent, working in a hybrid work model!
What your day will look like:
- Provide technical support for employees on-site and remotely
- Install, configure, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Assist with managing Office 365 services and user accounts
- Support the setup and maintenance of networking equipment
- Coordinate and assist with small IT projects and implementations
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols
- Document IT procedures and solutions for future reference
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments as needed
About You:
- At least a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is essential
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role is essential
- Basic understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, Wi-Fi, VPN)
- Experience with setting up and configuring workstations (Windows and MacOS)
- Knowledge of Office 365 administration (user management, email, Teams, OneDrive)
- Familiarity with common IT troubleshooting methods and tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Fluent in English, and at least a professional level of French, both written and verbal, is essential
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
