AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Reporting to Senior Manager Talent Acquisition and Organizational Development, this position will leverage strong HR knowledge coupled with system expertise in SAP SuccessFactors, project management skills, and assist in the implementation, rollout and configuration of SAP SuccessFactors applicant tracking system.The Applicant Tracking System (ATS) / Talent Acquisition Solution Business Analyst will be involved in the development/revision of business requirements to ensure that the ATS aligns with HR strategies and is compliant with policies, procedures, and applicable legislation and regulations with the relevance of enhancing operational performance.
This position would work with the vendor to ensure a seamless implementation of the system. This position provides excellent customer service while protecting the integrity of the data, automating business processes, trouble shooting incidents and maintaining optimal configuration.
This role collaborates with Talent Acquisition, and Information Technology in recommending and coordinating efforts to automate business needs by leveraging functionality in the SAP SuccessFactors ATS Recruiting and Onboarding modules and following best practice.
- System Administration
Ensure application data integrity, system access and data distribution managed appropriately. Investigate, analyze, design, test and recommend optimal system enhancements.
- Business Analysis
Present, explain, and validate analysis to ensure proposed solution meets their business needs. Lead the implementation of the SAP SuccessFactors applicant tracking system. Serve as a functional source of expertise in owning product backlog, providing user acceptance tests, supporting the maintenance and/or development of process improvements and changes.
Advise stakeholders of current design and provide recommendations to ensure design supports local nuances.
- System Technical Analysis
Responsible for defining interface parameters between systems, identifying system data dependencies, and approving all technical specifications and changes. Responsible for the daily operation and troubleshooting of user problems. Lead and contribute to project teams to assist in the research, selection, evaluation and implementation of new software applications and services.
- Project Support
Leverage in market BA resources to capture detailed technical requirements; engaging on-the-ground support to ensure application readiness pre-go-live. Escalate to the Project Manager to ensure project risks/issues are proactively managed.
- Coordination and Guidance
Provide support to the Talent Acquisition Team on use of SAP SuccessFactors.
- Integration
- Testing and Documentation
In collaboration with IT, engage business users in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and documentation. Collaborate with IT and Project Manager to develop detailed project transition documentation to support end users once implementation is complete.
Participate in the end user training sessions via online webinars, over the phone or in-person.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
EDUCATION:
- Diploma and/or Degree in Business, Computer Science, Human Resource Management or equivalent
- PMP/Agile Certification is an asset
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 - 5 years experience working in an HR environment as a business analyst or systems analyst type role participating in /leading large scale, SAP SuccessFactors applicant tracking systems (ATS) or Talent Acquisition System (TAS) implementations
- Super-user experience with ATS systems or other comparable Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management solutions (Job Opening, Advertising, Screening, Recruiting, Onboarding, etc.)
OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS:
- Demonstrated knowledge, experience and analytical skills as it pertains to Human Resources and HR business policy, practices and processes
- Knowledge of HR, Payroll and IT policy, practices and integration points is required.
- Experience within a municipal environment preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication, report writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to translate functional requirements for technical audience and technical details to functional audience.
- Experience in business process mapping and redesign, user interfaces, relational database concepts, system integrations, and project management techniques
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- May need to be available during non-standard business hours during upgrades and/or project implementations.
