Outside Sales Representative
The ideal candidate is a competitive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and understands the full sales cycle from lead generation to customer retention.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect and develop new rental and sales opportunities within the construction and contractor markets
- Conduct regular job site visits and meetings with contractors, project managers, and purchasing decision-makers
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of sales opportunities through proactive prospecting and relationship building
- Prepare and present rental quotations, proposals, and solutions to customers
- Negotiate pricing on equipment rentals and contractor supplies
- Collaborate with inside sales and operations teams to coordinate deliveries, pickups, and customer expectations
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and opportunities
- Track and log lost rentals to identify sales opportunities and market trends
- Support implementation, continuous improvement, and daily use of Texada Rental Software and CRM tools
- Provide visibility into the sales process through accurate reporting and documentation
- Promote additional company goods and services
- Profile new and existing customers while ensuring ongoing customer satisfaction
- Maintain up-to-date product knowledge, including features and benefits of all rentable and saleable equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 2–5 years of construction, equipment rental, or industrial sales experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and presentation abilities
- Ability to manage a territory and work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated initiative with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Competitive, disciplined, and goal-oriented self-starter
- Solid understanding of the complete sales process
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally
