What is the opportunity?
The objective of the QTS Strategy team is to develop the vision of the leadership in alignment with the business and enterprise technology teams. It involves formulating the strategy, identifying the imperatives, and executing on the initiatives with clear measurable goals.It requires extensive collaboration across the organization to communicate, facilitate and publish the roadmap. It is the responsibility of the team to develop the strategic priorities, agree on the focus areas, affirm ownership, and ensure they are executed upon with clear KPIs to measure success.
The QTS Strategy team is responsible to create the framework and engage with the different teams to ensure consistency in representing our success to our stakeholders. It requires active communication to of our strategic priorities to senior stakeholders.The team needs to ensure the investment is focused on the build of our capabilities to achieve a target state architecture. Our goal is to drive revenue, optimize costs and increase productivity. This involves constructively challenging the status quo by taking an active role in leveraging diversity of thought across, show openness and different perspectives to debate the strategy across all teams.
What will you do?- Responsible to drive the simplification of our technology estate in strong partnership with the strategy and architecture leads across the organization.
- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of our applications categorized by multiple dimensions (e.g., disposition, capabilities, etc.) to identify opportunities to consolidate and rationalize.
- Ensure transparency of the underlying technology infrastructure including hardware, servers, storage, databases, interfaces, services, data, compute, UI’s, etc.
- Host workshops to effectively track progress on simplifying our estate and report status on an ongoing basis. Conduct meetings with key stakeholders to drive discussion on multiple topics.
- Engage with leads across different teams to drive cost reduction programs (e.g., lights on, maintenance, 3rd party vendor spend, etc.) identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
- Leverage various tools and technologies (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, etc.) to track progress, perform analysis and present opportunities to our stakeholders to simplify the estate.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA or relevant master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial services, strategy development or consulting experience with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with expert level .PPT and .XLS skills.
- Knowledge of front -to-back processes, systems, and products in Banking. Understanding of various tools and techniques to drive strategic transformation.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with advanced working knowledge of the .PPT, advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Collaboration, delivery focused and curiosity to learn.
Nice to have:
- Strong understanding Capital Markets products and services (e.g., trading systems, risk management solutions, settlement platforms, etc.).
- Working knowledge of the transaction lifecycle front-to-back across asset classes.
- Industry related accreditation and certificates
