SUMMARY
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright (no ticket) maintains and repairs all of the facilities mechanical equipment (planers, chains, belts, saws, etc.) and performs scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on our Forklifts and Loaders.
Expected Contributions- Repair, installation and ongoing maintenance of hydraulic lines, wear strips, chains, rollers, belts, motors, pulleys, sheaves, pumps, fans throughout the facility.
- Fabricating/repairing guards, metal platforms, metal steps, duct work.
- Minor electrical repair or replacement of sensors, lines, fuses.
- Performing preventative maintenance and repairs on our Forklifts, Loaders, Lifts, Grader and Water/Sanding Truck.
- Following lock out rules and safety protocols when performing maintenance, repairs or installations.
- Maintain a clean, tidy and organized Maintenance Garage.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Able to use torches, welders, hand and power tools, various measurement devices.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to work efficiently and under tight timelines to minimize downtime.
- Strong knowledge of what tools to use for repairs and maintenance
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms.
- Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
- Basic math skills.
- Permanent Full-Time
- High school graduation

Compensation- As per Schedules A & B of the Collective Agreement with the United Steel Workers, Jan 26, 2022 – Jan 25, 2025

- Shift time: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Must be flexible with start and finish times
Note: Hours may change due to operational requirements.
Work Location- 2916 Rockingham Road, Combermere, ON K0J 1L0.
- Must have own reliable transportation. The site is not located on a bus route.
