We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing team in Waterloo, Ontario on a Contract basis. This position is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented finance specialist who can oversee core accounting activities while ensuring accurate reporting across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining timely month-end processes, supporting financial operations, and meeting government reporting obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including oversight of accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial results and coordinate all month-end close requirements within established timelines.
- Produce financial statements and internal management reports that support decision-making and operational planning.
- Complete federal and provincial reporting requirements, ensuring submissions are accurate and filed on time.
- Review account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies to maintain reliable financial records.
- Support cash flow monitoring and help maintain effective financial controls across accounting processes.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy, streamline workflows, and strengthen finance operations.
