Position Overview As a member of a Home Care Team, reporting to the Manager Health Services, the incumbent functions as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a consistent standard of client nursing services.
This is achieved through responsible management of nursing staff and other resources.
Nursing Resource Coordinators supervise and manage their staff according to the MNU collective agreement, CRNM Standards of Practice and Operational Standards for the Visiting Nurse Program.
Experience Minimum of four years recent related nursing experience.
Experience supervising staff required, preferably in a unionized environment.
Community experience an asset.
Case Management experience an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate) Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
Master’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Responsible for maintaining and providing proof of registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with Employer policy.
Active participation in professional associations e.g.
Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
Valid Driver’s License and use of a vehicle.
Qualifications and Skills Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize a large complex workload to meet deadlines.

Exceptional communication skills

Demonstrates the ability to be flexible in a dynamic environment.

Knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity as it relates to clients and staff.
Demonstrates ability to function as a team member; works collaboratively across sectors; is an active participant in multi-disciplinary teams.
Basic computer skills in a windows environment.
Physical Requirements Not Applicable This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT.
