Adecco is currently hiring several full-time knowledgeable and safety-focused MHE (Material Handling Equipment) / Forklift Training Specialists to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and assessing training programs for forklift and other MHE operators to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation within our clients’ facilities.

You should bring both hands-on expertise and strong communication skills to promote a culture of safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver certified forklift and MHE training programs (theory and practical) for new hires and existing employees.
  • Evaluate operator performance and conduct safety and competency assessments.
  • Maintain training records, certifications, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and update training materials to reflect regulatory changes, equipment updates, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Health & Safety, Operations, and HR teams to align training with operational needs.
  • Conduct refresher courses and re-certifications as needed.
  • Monitor and report on training effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards related to forklift and MHE operation across the facility.
  • Support accident investigations and recommend corrective actions when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Occupational Health & Safety or Training is a plus
  • Valid forklift/MHE trainer certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant, CSA, or applicable local standards)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating and training on various types of material handling equipment (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, pallet jack)
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and MHE compliance standards
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office or training management systems (TMS) is an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
