Assembly Technician

Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Assembly Technician for our client in Toronto, ON. In this role you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and inspecting awning systems according to company specifications and quality standards.

This role requires someone with good electronics assembly and hand soldering skills.

  • Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
  • Location: Toronto, ON (Victoria Park Ave. & Steeles)
  • Shifts: Monday to Friday | 7:30am – 4:30pm
  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble awnings, canopies, frames, shade structures, and related components according to technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders according to client specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and attach fabric, metal, and other materials using hand and power tools.
  • Ensure all awnings meet quality control standards by inspecting finished products for defects, durability, and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production deadlines are met.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following workplace safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Identify and report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, or assembly issues to the production manager.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Assist with packaging and preparing awnings for shipment or installation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in awning assembly, manufacturing, metal fabrication, or a related field is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, technical and work instructions
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including drills, and measuring equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to perform quality checks on finished products.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver materials up to [50] lbs.
  • Comfortable standing, bending, and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and cutting materials accurately.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company policies.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
