Adecco is actively seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Grafton, ON. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of mechanical systems and facilities, ensuring the property remains safe, operational, and compliant with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining manuals and diagrams for all systems.
- Managing a computerized schedule for building and mechanical maintenance.
- Labeling equipment for easy identification.
- Maintaining a computerized log for all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts replaced, and associated costs.
- Operating and maintaining boilers, heat exchangers, water softeners, dryers, washers, and auxiliary equipment (pumps, compressors, pipe systems).
- Diagnosing mechanical defects or malfunctions and conducting repairs or preventative maintenance.
- Inspecting equipment regularly for wear and tear, replacing defective parts as needed.
- Preparing heating and cooling systems for seasonal changes and ensuring compliance with fire codes and health regulations.
- Maintaining the Septic System, conducting backwash, and cleaning pumps and screens.
- Performing regular testing on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and backup generators.
- Ensuring that all repairs and maintenance meet company standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Repairing locks, doors, windows, and screens.
- Assisting with any other tasks as directed by your manager.
Requirements:
- Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
- Prior experience in building maintenance or a related field.
- Proficiency in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems such as boilers, heat exchangers, and water softeners.
- Knowledge of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and backup generators.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- A commitment to health, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
