Our clients represent Risk, Finance, HR, CAO, Audit, Legal, Compliance, Financial Crime, Capital Markets, Personal and Commercial Banking and Wealth Management.We also lead the development of digital tools and platforms to enhance collaboration.
Join RBC’s Innovation, Digital, Expertise and Architecture (IDEA) team, a dynamic group within Global Functions Technology (GFT), where you’ll design innovative employee facing tools focused on digital, mobile, and AI-driven solutions.
What will you do?As a Senior Digital Product Designer, you are a collaborative team player with the ability to solve complex people problems. You are comfortable with owning user journeys, implementing high quality solutions and communicating your design rationale clearly.
You advocate for users throughout the design process, ensuring their needs and perspectives are prioritized in every aspect of product development. You are dedicated to designing inclusive, accessible products that blend business needs with technical innovation.
- Deliver high-quality end-to-end designs for web and mobile applications that are simple and intuitive.
- Ideate on short to medium term design and product strategies alongside the product team.
- Present thoughtful design solutions to product teams, articulating your design rationale effectively.
- Provide day-to-day mentorship to other designers, helping them navigate design challenges and grow in their roles.
- Ensure all designs adhere to RBC’s accessibility guidelines, creating inclusive experiences for all RBC employees.
- Promote the use of a design system amongst designers, developers and other participants.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX researchers, and engineers to align designs with business goals and user needs.
- Learn, adapt and introduce new design methodologies, tools, and trends.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experience
- Deep knowledge in 2-3 key areas: building complex user flows, visual design, accessible and inclusive design, responsive design, design systems, strategic product thinking, information architecture and/or growth design.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing interfaces across web and mobile apps.
- A portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work and problem solving skills.
- Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working on internal tools or enterprise-level products.
- Experience working with design systems.
- Familiarity with UX research methods and integrating insights to shape design decisions.
- Experience with UX writing or copywriting.
