The opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Business Analyst with a strong technical background and experience in PeopleSoft applications. The ideal candidate will not only have a deep understanding of PeopleSoft HRIS modules but will also demonstrate a passion for learning new technologies and driving innovation.This individual will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical solutions, while ensuring the successful delivery of PeopleSoft projects.
The role- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and systems, and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Lead and facilitate meetings with business users, stakeholders, and IT teams to elicit requirements and drive consensus.
- Configure and implement PeopleSoft HR modules to meet business needs and improve process efficiency.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements and solutions.
- Work closely with developers to ensure technical solutions align with business needs and adhere to industry best practices.
- Conduct testing (unit & integration) to ensure quality and accuracy of solutions.
- Prepare and deliver documentation such as process flows, technical specifications.
- Provide post-implementation support and training to users to ensure smooth adoption of new systems or enhancements.
- Analyze and troubleshoot issues related to PeopleSoft applications and offer solutions to improve system performance and functionality.
- Stay updated on the latest PeopleSoft features, tools, and industry trends to continually enhance systems and processes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by recommending inventive solutions to meet evolving business needs.
- 6 to 9 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT, with a strong focus on PeopleSoft.
- Technical skills, including experience with PeopleSoft PeopleTools, SQR, SQL, and PeopleCode.
- Proven ability to analyze complex business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
- Openness to learning new technologies and inventive problem-solving approaches.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with system integration and data migration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies is a plus.
- Familiarity with other ERP systems or HRIS applications is a plus.
- General technology knowledge as Azure, Oracle Database (an advantage)
- Experience with PeopleSoft version upgrades or implementations.
- SQL Language (Oracle Database an advantage)
- This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French – mainly English
