About Our Client

Our client is an established ICI general contractor, dedicated primarily to commercial and institutional interior renovation projects across the GTA, mainly in the health care and hospital sectors.

Due to current growth, the organization is currently looking to secure an experienced Senior Estimator to join their established team.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Manage the tender and quantity take off process on multiple estimating projects
• Deal directly with sub-trades in preparation of tender documents
• Work with the Pre-Construction Director and leadership to close tenders and proposals
• Manage the transition of the successful project estimating to the project management team for execution
• All other responsibilities as required

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• 10 years of experience within the GTA GC interiors and health care sectors
• Experience estimating projects in the scope of $1M - $20M;
• Local market experience with good trade relations;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to run the entire estimating process from pre-qualifications, to initial quantity takeoffs, preliminary project schedules, and through to closing the tender
• Strong software application skills
• Willingness to maintain technical knowledge through professional development, education workshops and reviewing technical publications.
