Orthopedic Surgeon
Why Fraser Health?:
The Ridge Meadows Hospital Orthopaedic group (currently 4 members) is looking to hire a fellowship-trained full-time orthopedic surgeon to add to our current group to better serve our fast-growing community.
The successful candidate will be expected to practice in a community orthopaedic setting and to participate in the on-call schedule 1-in-4 with potential for expansion to 1-in-5 call coverage in the near future. This will include proficiency in community-based general orthopaedic care (arthroplasty and upper & lower limb fracture / trauma care).Subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery will be given a strong preference. The successful candidate will join the current orthopedic group as soon as successful candidacy is determined. The new member will also be allocated full complement of resources for weekly outpatient cast clinic and elective operative time.
Additionally, as a member of the Fraser Health medical staff, you will participate in the University of British Columbia (UBC) medical education program and are expected to apply for a clinical faculty appointment in the Division of Orthopedics, UBC.
The Ridge Meadows Orthopaedic group is a cohesive group of subspecialty-trained orthopaedic surgeons (including general orthopedics / trauma, sports medicine/arthroscopy, upper limb reconstruction and lower limb arthroplasty). RMH inpatient services include General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Anaesthesia, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Oral Maxillary Facial Surgery, Ophthalmology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Radiology, Geriatric medicine and General internal Medicine including subspecialty care (cardiology, respirology, gastroenterology, etc.)

Compensation: Fee for Service, MOCAP - On Call Payments
